The walls are thin. Everyone can hear everyone in the halls. The building views are nice. Garage gets broken into from time to time so never leave anything in your car. Thankfully I only did 6 months lease. I did get my deposit back but make sure you take pictures of everything before moving- they charged me for things that were already broken like a faucet. The wall paint, I was charged $300 only for two small spots. In total I lost $600-$800 from my deposit.

In addition... I could hear my neighbor's conversation through the wall. I had a scary incident with another neighbor who kept listening through my walls I couldn't even talk in my own space. I made many reports and nothing was done until I finally moved out. This place has no security cams except garage, laundry room and elevators. They need to put some in the hallways.

Edited: Btw I left in June and the building manager was also gone. When I left they hired this young girl who doesn't seem to know how to be a manger. I'm happy to no longer be there.

Edit: And then I received an email about an hour after canceling my appointment...that they pushed my appointment yet again, to 3:30PM. This means both people I've texted and emailed don't seem to be in coordination with each other. What a complete joke.

I have every reason to believe the negative reviews. I wanted to tour available apartment units. Got scheduled pretty late, Saturday Oct 5th 2PM. I leave about an hour before then, and recieve a text that it's been pushed to 3PM. I ask what's the reason, because I'm already on my way by train. They confusingly say "Yeah the unit is prepared to show." I ask them to clarify "Do you mean they are currently ready or not? Because I'm on my way and I do not drive." They reply "It is currently being prepared, you can come at 3PM. No accountability for screwing me over with such a short notice, and overall unprofessional, and I told them to cancel the appointment. Will look for apartments elsewhere.

It took forever to get an appointment to see the one unit they had available due to the narrow frame of hours available to view the property, and because nobody mans the phones. When I arrived, I noticed the rusted balconies and concrete in need of painting. When I went inside, the office worker with whom I had an appointment barely made eye contact, and barely talked to me. If anything it was a self guided tour.

The unit was a shoebox in a dark little corner of the prison-like building COMPLETELY lacking in personality or life of any kind. There was only one window- a sliding glass door that faced an intersection. at ground level. The room itself is the size of a closet and at best you could uncomfortably fit a futon or a single into the space, but your kitchen would basically be your bedside table. The cabinets were beaten up, which is not a good look for ikea- style cabinets.

WHEN I OPENED THE CABINET UNDER THE SINK THERE WAS A GIANT ROACH CANNISTER IN IT. I am extremely allergic to roaches, and so I asked if there had recently been roaches there, and she said there had but that they fumigated... Not O.K.

Also I was shown a laundry room which housed three washing machines. THREE. I asked how many people live in the building and the office worker said 85. Hmmmm...

All in all, I was very creeped out by this apartment building, there was nobody in the breezway style hallways, and I cannot imagine how depressing this place is in the rain.

Visiting this apartment felt like I was in some dystopian future where everyone wears beige or grey, eats nutritional loaf, and is assigned a number instead of being named. It was worse than any dorm I have ever seen, and I went to a state school.

After all of that, the real estate agent said somebody had an application in the works... and that I should call back next week.

Unless you are exceptionally apathetic about life, and living in a reasonable situation, I would give this sad apartment building a miss. Its not like it is inexpensive for the square footage...

Clean and efficient. Very quiet and most of the neighborhood is professional or attending either Pasadena City College or CALTEC. Only complaint would be that there is not enough insulation between units and can hear way too much of what's going on in the next unit.

I've lived here and wish I read the reviews beforehand. Please trust they will keep your deposit, find a reason to, or make you pay for something ridiculous.

They have apartments on their site listed as being available, but when you inquire about them you are contacted by an outside agency that try to sell you other apartments that are way out of your price range. Very shady bait & switch operation.
