A few days ago I went to this shop to buy 2 new African dwarf frogs. They all looked very healthy and in good shape. It was very stressful getting them into the tank, but we did it. They are healthy and now in their tank. We named them Sushi and Hercules?

They got along perfectly with the frog that was already there. But sadly the frog died yesterday.

In total this shop is highly recommended!

I've been going since a little before Xmas when Santa got my 2 kids a 10 gallon each. Since then, the store has been SO helpful in really helping me to get these tanks running smoothly. The staff is very helpful and the quality of fish greatly surpass the big box pet stores.

They created a Customer for Life! Owners Ashley, Taylor, and Staff are incredible. I called frantically on a Sunday because our beloved new family fish, Henry, was not doing well. We got terrible advice from a big box store, to dump various chemicals basically, and that was a large part of the problem. Ashley spent 20 mins over the phone, as I live 2 hours away. She gave me a plan of action, and that literally saved Henry's Life!!! I called a few more times and was helped by everyone!! I will happily drive to get my water tested, buy fish, aquariums, and everything else. You will Not get this level of service anywhere. The education you get is priceless and is needed. Getting the fish's environment proper from the beginning and keeping it that way is a necessity. It's not that complicated, but it can go horribly wrong quickly. Just start with Southern Aquatics. So grateful for their help!!!!

Great shop! Livestock is the healthiest in town. Plants are healthy and they do a good job limiting nuisance algaes on them. Extremely knowledgeable staff. Only thing I'd knock them for (not worth a star deduction) is a limited selection of hardgoods compared to other shops around the city.

am new to the aquarium world but wanted to check this out and ask questions. This store is so clean and organized. I was greeted immediately upon entering and the service here is great! I at no point felt like no one was there to help me. Employees were throughout the store and eager to answer any questions. They were not pushy at all. Tanks were organized by fresh and saltwater varieties. So many beautiful fish! I was educated on caring for my aquatic animal and also maintenance. Things have certainly changed from my WalMart goldfish and glass bowl days! There was a young teenage girl who helped me and she was more mature and bright than people my age I know.

Even if you are not in the market to buy a fish I would still recommend stopping in and checking it out. When I am ready to buy I will definitely be coming here!

Definitely not my favorite fish store in the Atlanta area. I went here looking for some Plecos for my cichlid tanks, and they did have a decent amount, but most seemed small or very skinny. The staff was nice and helped me fairly quickly. My gripes are that the tanks and the store were disgusting. I always wonder how good of care the fish get if the store isn’t well maintained. I saw several dead fish in aquariums, tons of skinny and colorless fish. The saltwater section looked worse than the freshwater - the corals all looked unhealthy and appeared to be in a losing battle verse some kind of algea or Dino’s. Overall disappointed - the images of the place online don’t match what I saw in person.

Went here for the first time yesterday trying to find a good fish store and can say extremely happy staff was very helpful and told me as long as fish are allowed in the state they can get them for me.They properly bagged and double bagged the fish I bought yesterday will recommend this store to anyone around
