Went on a whim with my daughter. We rode our bikes from Old Beach, not too far of a ride. We really wanted to see the otters but they were away in their den unfortunately. Many of the exhibits were interactive, de which was really cool. You could also touch some of the marine life creatures which was cool. There were many unruly kids running about but I suppose that is to be expected and they were just excited. We weren't able to see octopus either unfortunately. All in all, it was a good way to spend an afternoon!

It's a nice place. It doesn't take very long to walk through. There is a nice activity area for kids but several of the activities are broke.

If you taking your kids on weekends or holidays please book tickets in Advance… place gets very busy. Some of the staff is not well trained to handle all the crowds… paying for parking can be issue since most machines don’t work.. you will spend 2 hrs waiting to get in but once inside it is good … smaller than other aquariums… typical you will finish in 1-2 hrs…

We visited it on a vacation earlier this month. Bought tickets in advance online, (absolutely the smartest thing to do).

Excellent venue, definitely enough exhibits to occupy someone for a few hours. Staff was very friendly & helpful & the Cafe was actually pretty good (note, they don't accept cash at the Cafe). We also did a "behind the scenes" sea turtle tour. Really cool; showed us the inner workings of the aquarium as well as watching the sea turtles getting fed & learning about them.

If you're in the area, definitely recommend this place. Definitely buy your Tix online & it's smart to get there before 11:00 as it understandably gets crowded by early afternoon.
