My whole family loved this place! It wasn’t super expensive either but you purchase your tickets online to make a reservation. We’re from out of town and didn’t know but we managed to place the order in the parking lot and we’re just fine getting in. They have many classes and extra stuff you can purchase to do there and all the fish and animals were close to the tanks and easy to see. It was a very nice, very clean place to visit. We came here twice on our week vacation because our kids loved it so much.

What a cool place to go while spending time in Kitty Hawk. Kids would love it, but bigger kids like my husband and I really got to enjoy it. It was totally worth the reasonable admission and convenient parking. We even got to watch the turtles being fed which was so creative and enjoyable. The jellyfish room is not to be missed! Book an appointment online for quicker entrance. You can do it in the parking lot upon arrival, it was that easy.

Made this our last stop on our way out of the Outer Banks, and I’m glad we did. You could easily spend an entire day here. There are many different and interactive exhibits. The staff in the turtle rehabilitation area are extremely knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions the kids have. We all got a good laugh out of the poop facts on the restroom doors. My only disappointments were that the activity book costs $5 and it’s not worth it at all. I’m so glad I only bought 1 for my three kids to share and not 3 because that would have been a rip off. They are small paper packets, the quality should have been way better. Also, the woman at the ticket office said we would need a sticker if we wanted to leave and come back later which is nice but I told the woman the only reason we might leave is to retrieve my wheelchair if I felt like I needed it and she didn’t bother to mention they had free wheelchairs inside the aquarium… it would have been nice to know that. Other than that we had a great time and I would visit again if I was in the area to spend a little more time with each exhibit. Even just to sit on the pier (you can see some planes take off and land from the airport next door if you’re lucky!) for an afternoon would be a nice trip. I recommend checking it out if you have time!

This was a great visit! All the employees were very passionate about the animals and educating people about them!! I could have spent all day here if I had the availability! The animals were all pretty curious to look at us and came up to the glass! I loved the interactive piece where you diagnose and heal a turtle!!! I also loved getting to meet Caribsea! ? This is a great place, small and packed with awesome stuff! Well worth the tickets!!

Edit - I forgot to mention I'm in a wheelchair and the whole place was very wheelchair friendly and easy to get around in!!

Wonderful staff, cool gift shop. I love the naturalist who is giving the demonstration of feeding the sharks very informative all of the educational signage around was really really nice to have and it was good to learn about all of the animals in the exhibits. Ten out of ten great place to visit.

I really wish I could give this place more than 5 stars.. it may not be the biggest aquarium, but it was very nice. The staff was amazing and went out of their way to answer questions, and to provide information that went above and beyond any expectations.. being a turtle lover I was very pleased with what they were doing in the facility.. AND THE PRICE. For the price it is more than worth any kind of travel you may have to do to go..
They even have activity books for kids which helps to keep them focused and learning while making your way around the facility.. my 8 year old usually loves to just hurry up and run through places like that without really paying attention.. but the book helped her to WANT to learn and take her time, and that I really like..
ITS A GREAT PLACE THAT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND..
