I would not recommend this place as a guy who answered the phone would not even give me his name! Very rude! Tells me don't need to know his name. My angelfish died within 30 min of being in my tank! 38 dollars is a little pricey! The guy tells me bring in my water as I knew my water was fine! Bought another angelfish at a Petco and I've had it in my tank the last three weeks no problem. Dead fish was in the tank should have stayed clear!

I've been in the fishkeeping hobby for years and have seen many fish shops. Aqua Zoo is by far the absolute BEST fish shop ever! Their fish are always so healthy and genetically high quality, they always have a wide and interesting selection of species, and their live plants are beautiful! The customer service is top notch, the space is beautifully cared for, and the fish are always happy. I will be an Aqua Zoo customer and supporter for life! I can't recommend them enough.

If you buy here, be prepared to eat the cost. I hate to promote the big box pet stores over local small businesses but the owner at Aqua Zoo seems at best "unconcerned" and frankly a bit rude if you have questions or need to make a return due to tank compatibility issues. I purchased 5 platy fish, 3 females, 2 males, and the large male has been picking on the small male everytime he's within sight. I mentioned this to the female owner, and even emphasized that this male would not live very long if he's constantly being picked at. She had a one word response "Uh-huh". Might as well have said: Yup, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. Rather than dropping this poor platy off at this store for free as a courtesy with no store credit given (my only option) I'll be looking at other alternatives and giving my business elsewhere.

This is a fabulous aquarium store that is owned by very helpful, informative, and lovely people. They have an absolutely beautiful array of fish and aquatic plants along with all the supplies needed to get you going or keep you going. They also supply water for your aquarium that I am glad to go get every time. If you ever have any questions feel free to go in. Definitely go inside and check out their selection if you are in the area. It may look like a small store but it’s gigantic with personality.

Tons of fish! Tons of equipment! Tons of plants! Even filter parts and meds. Very kind and helpful staff. Reasonable prices. Totally coming back when I build my shrimp tank.

What a wonderful little shop to visit! Katie, Thank you for going above and beyond to help me get the fish I was after. Made the 1300 mile round trip worth every mile. Beautiful micro and nano fish species, plants, and deco for natural aquariums was more than I expected. Seeing so many species of fish I had only read about before visiting had my heart racing. Thank you team for allowing me to shop and staying past closing, I appreciate from the initial contact to the final transaction the professionalism and sincere customer service you provided. Amazing shop to visit and stop in and see.

Right at the entrance, I was excited! I love finding a shop like this. Got to see so many of the more rare, hard to find fish, it was such a great time. The employees are top notch, and definitely know their stuff. I wish I wasn't from Kansas City, we don't have shops like this.
