One of the best aquatic shops I've seen in the North West! They really know their stuff too, staff are lovely and a massive selection of tropical and marine life with some fantastic advice from staff I got myself 2 beautiful fish I will be visiting this place again definitely and I definitely recommend it anyone looking for live foods, plants or aquatic life

Also no impressed, and I've been to a few shops over the years. Tanks weren't anywhere near the level of cleanliness and general condition I've seen elsewhere. Was given the wrong type of snail, but only discovered this when I got home (assumed the staff knew what a zebra nerite snail was). The condition and colour of the dwarf gourami I bought wasn't a patch on those bought elsewhere. It died within a few days - and quite sure not a problem of mine. This was my first time in a Maidenhead aquatics store, and frankly expected far better quality for how they sell themselves.

Not impressed sadly. I've visited too many aquarium shops to mention. Arrived and was warmly greeted. Took a look at the tropical section and was sadly unimpressed several tanks had dead fish harlequin Tank had 3 dead and spotted 3 other tanks with dead fish or unhealthy whilst 2/3 staff members casually chatted at the till . Fish die it's part of the hobby but you don't leave them in the tank for periods for customers to see. Very expensive compared to others some fish were x2 more expensive than other shops within a small drive.

Called in to the Preston store on Sunday. The quality of the fish the range and the husbandry were obvious. the shop is stocked with anything you need as an aquarist. The staff are An absolute credit. They are happy to share their massive knowledge with patience and good humor. from one crusty old aquarist one enthusiastic new comer and 1 total newbie, A very big thank you. You set the standard all other aquarist shops should aspire to. And you were right the Aquasky light really does lift the tank to a new level.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Have a large variety of fish. Went to collect salt water on Friday for my marine fish. The friendly man Zac at the counter helped me by carrying it to my car. He went above and beyond. Thank you so much. Excellent service.

very expensive shop compared to others available in Preston but the fact that the goldfish are wonderful, only the aquariums are terribly dirty

Becoming my regular shop, Sam helped me out big time.I was having problems with my tank and placement of corals for flow and lighting for ages. brought this up with him and was told the best place for placement and now my tank is doing better than ever.

Since then I have made Maidenhead my go to place! Friendly staff every time I visit. Always made to feel welcome.

Just wish the marine section had more variety in coral and fish. Maybe even a few tanks set up in different styles for like myself who need inspiration. Nothing more enticing than seeing an affordable tank set up and thinking “I want that in my house”

Otherwise great shop!
