Room 8 is an exceptional organization dedicated to securing permanent homes for cats. This organization adheres to a strict policy against euthanasia; any cat that does not find an adoptive family will remain in their care for the entirety of its life. The facility is staffed by incredibly compassionate individuals who ensure that all cats receive proper nourishment and attention. They are provided with toys for entertainment, and numerous volunteers regularly visit to groom and socialize with the cats. It is truly heartwarming to witness the care they receive. I personally volunteered at this organization, which is how I came to adopt my cat, Jake. I have been fortunate to share my life with him for the past decade.

Room 8 has so many wonderful kitties in need of a good home! It's very clean, and the cats seem all very well cared for.I bought a kitty from the shelter, and I believe that they get the kitties from here..not sure . At Room 8, you can spend all the time you need with the cats all roaming around you. You can pet and hold them. At shelters, you just have to kind of pick.
This place is great and the owner is very kind and friendly.
I very strongly urge you to come in and adopt one of these kitties today ❤️
I haven't even had mine for a week and love her already. She's an angel!!

My husband and I have three beautiful cats that we adopted from Room 8. Gail is a wonderful lady who is passionate about her work. The cattery is a happy and safe place for cats and kittens. Gail and her team go above and beyond to try and help every cat that comes in. If you are looking for a place to volunteer or adopt check out Room 8!

They really need to get it together on whoever is answering the phones. Whoever picked up just said hello very rude and then I proceeded to explain what I was needing help with then just said no we're full Google it and go through the list. Get some better customer service this is what deters people from doing the right thing. Why would anyone want to donate when you can't even get a friendly person on the phone.

I have adopted 2 cats from Room 8 at Petco. Myers 7 yrs ago & Gigi 4 yrs ago. That's where I met Gail. She 'IS' passionate about where all the cats go. She vetts every one thoroughly so none of the cats are kept outdoors & are well taken care of. I think she does a great job of it.

I have worked with this rescue for years. They are a no-kill cat shelter, and Gail Anderson Shelton is amazing. She takes in baby kittens that have been thrown away. When old enough, they get immunized, spayed and neutered, microchiped, and placed in Petco for adoption.

So unprofessional!!!>:| I went into Petco to adopt a kitten and I met one of the ladies running the cat foundation. I explained to her how I have cats of my own and how I was looking to adopt another and she lied and said the adoption age was 21 when it is clearly 18 in the state of California. Not only that, but she was incredibly rude and talked down on me when I inquired about the kittens shots and deworming process. She switched up on me so fast when I told her I was almost 21 and demanded to speak to my mother if I wanted to adopt, which I think is ridiculously outrageous. I would have respected her decision to deny me adoption if she wasn’t so incredibly rude and condescending. She even went out of her own way to scold me about my own cats at home seeing as they are outside cats even after I told her I was looking for a cat to keep inside only. Absolutely do not recommend this place because of their service BUT the kitties were so cute.

I have adopted 4 cats over the years from Room 8. I have been so thankful for the work they have done. My wife and I give back now by trying to volunteer about once a week. They are a true no kill rescue that houses many senior cats to give them a good life in their twilight years. They also are constantly getting kittens and other younger cats brought in off the streets and help to socialize them, vet them, and get them available for adoption. They are truly a great place if you are looking for a cat.
