Recently bought a goldfish from here. The fish seem healthy and there's a very nice selection.

But the staff seem like they just don't want to help at all. Very strange experience. It also seems a bit more pricey then some other local aquatic centres.

I spoke to Alan today, who was able to exceed my level of expectations for the level of help I was looking for during my visit.
Alan had a vast wealth of knowledge that was easy for me to understand and did not make me feel overwhelmed.
From being able to provide assistance for parts for filters, to landscaping a new aquarium, selecting from a huge verities of indoor and outdoor fish to selecting the perfect complement of food, Tranquil Waters Aquatic Centre has it all.

I’ve had fish for a few years now, I know how to look after and maintain my tank, including checking the PH levels of the water. I recently visited this place and bought some fish. But in the last 2 weeks the 5 of the fish I bought out of 6 (molly, tetra and Mickey Mouse fish) have died. I’ve never had this issue before and I’m quite annoyed. There is nothing wrong with the living condition of these fish in my home either. I won’t be returning. Be warned if you buy fish from here you may experience the same problem.

By far the best fresh water shop I've been to, great stock ALWAYS healthy animals, best thing is the staff will take the time to actually talk to you and they are very much clued up. I've learned everything from them and my tanks ran for 3 years I even upgraded in size and went here because the price can't be beat on the rio. Massive plus, I add fish straight to my tank from these guys and don't use My 100L hospital tank because I 100% trust their water and animal care

Terrific place to buy tropical fish , plants , food , and tanks . Very helpful and knowledgeable service. Great range of tropical fish , I’m a regular visitor . Plenty of parking .

I purchased a fan tail goldfish and it died within 9 days. My previous 2 goldfish lived 12 years and 9 years respectively so provided good care of goldfish. Went back to tranquil and informed by shop assistant have to return in 48 hours.Pets at home have 2 weeks but this made no difference when making this point. Other comments by assistant included how much did you pay £5(actually £13). Should not matter how much - you should still get good customer service. Have emailed manager but got no reply
