I recently placed an order with Violet Aquarium for saltwater fish and anemones. The experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
The significant delay in shipping compromised the health of the delicate marine life. This negligence resulted in the loss of valuable and fragile organisms.
It's disheartening to see such a lack of care and attention to detail, especially when dealing with sensitive marine ecosystems. I strongly advise potential customers to avoid Violet Aquarium and seek reliable suppliers who prioritize the well-being of their aquatic creatures.

Over the past 18 months I have ordered at least 50 fish from them. I have had a few DOA which they immediately gave me credit. I have never had a diseased fish from them which I know is rare. I have had diseased from local fish stores though. I have purchased sharks, rays, tangs, pilot fish, triggers, puffers, idols, to name a few.

I've been here twice. Not going back again. The customer service was awful, and the prices even worse. On top of that, most of their coral frag tanks are infested with aiptasia, and they still want bare minimum $40 per piece. Hard to see but in the photo, any shape you see is aiptasia. I couldn't find any coral in that system lol. Owner seemed very rude with his own employees. Would not recommend.

Edit for the owner: the way you treat your employees is not my fault. Your livestock being pest ridden is your fault, also. But I had to teach your staff what palytoxin was. Honestly shocked how long he was working there without knowing. This was both 6 months ago and 1 month ago. Online buyers beware.

This company really knows their stuff. Everything I order gets shipped fast as lightning, expertly packed and arrive healthy and thriving. I’ve been in the hobby of keeping saltwater fish for almost 50 years and I can honestly say Violet Aquarium is the best in the business. Selection, Quality, Price, Customer Service.

Love the selection and the fish. Tanks look clean and well kept. Staff are very very helpful and supportive but generally uneducated as to the fish and inverts in stock. The place is clearly geared towards mail orders vs in person clientele.

Violet Aquarium is THE BEST place to buy marine life. I have a 1000 gallon mixed reef tank that has been running for about 5 years now. I have had a lot of experience with ordering from many different online fish stores over the years.
Violet Aquarium tops them all. They have Best Prices, largest fish and they regularly carry hard to find livestock. Really Love their WYSIWYG so I know exactly what I am getting. And they stand behind their products and will always work with you. I would not buy anywhere else. I posted some of the fish I have purchased from them recently.

New place that looks like it will be fantastic - much larger inside than you might expect. It's a bit hard to find, so just know it's a bit tricky. Only a few tanks now with some very cool selection; need to have prices and info or better/available customer service, but that may come with time? Really looking forward to seeing those tanks filled and tanks/supplies available to purchase.

Amazing experience there yesterday with my partner! They have so many unique fish and corals and knowledgeable staff. A very well maintained facility and nice staff. All prices are online which is great. Got myself a diamond goby but sadly he jumped out in the middle of the night and didn’t make it but nonetheless will return there for all my fish needs. Just so hard to have a budget with all the beautiful fish they got lol
