Came here on a whim from Birmingham because me and my partner have been following on social media for some time. We are dedicated hobbyists and love the weird and wonderful so thought we'd check it out. My god we were not disappointed! If you're into inverts, it's great, the marine section was clean and everything looked after. The tropical fish section was incredible! Me and my partner were like kids in a sweet shop. There were fish neither of us had seen for YEARS. The staff were doing constant water changes and feeds throughout our time there, their dedication to these fish shows in the quality of them! They quarantine their fish too and they would rather be honest than make a sale! The deals were impressive and I came out feeling like I'd stolen goods because they were so incredibly priced. The staff were so friendly and helped us take stuff out to the car, shout out to Ross for his patience and customer service! Really really loved this place, it will be our go to fish shop from now on. Thank you to everyone at Wharf

I’m quite new to the aquarium world and returned to Wharf Aquatics for my second time to add some male shrimp to my otherwise female group of Bloody Mary shrimp.

Every member of team has always been happy to help with a friendly, chatty nature that made me feel so welcome. They recently went out of their way to help when I left part of my order behind in the shop.

Within 2 hours of adding the new male shrimp to my tank, they immediately set to their mission and by the next morning I found I have a female with eggs. ?

Oh my what an amazing fish shop!! My other half and I took a random trip up the A38 from Burton. Best fish shop I've ever been in. Parking is a slight issue but there's side roads to park. Amazing choice of wood for tanks. Separate show room each for cold-water, tropical and marine. Even a separate tank show room. So many beautiful fish. Beautiful koi on show. Even things like barbel and sturgeon and bream for sale. I have never seen so many tanks together. Tropical section is very impressive. From shrimps to arrowana. Some impressive plecos on sale. Wanted to come home with everything! But resisted and just bought some plants. A good selection of plants. Shelves are fully stocked. Loads of friendly staff and it was very busy when we came. Who needs to go to the sealife centre when you can come here? Even more to view than sealife! Only a 30 min drive from us, so we will definitely go back when we want some new fish. Tanks were all very well maintained. Wood and plants in most stock tanks. Fantastic collection of corals ? even have hermit crabs and starfish in the marine section.

Znalazłem to miejsce przez Google maps. Zdecydowałem się tu zawitać ponieważ miało najwięcej rekomendacji i pozytywnych opinii . Do sklepu mam około 30 min jazdy ale warto było tu przyjechać . Sklep z zewnątrz nie wygląda jakoś specjalnie wygląda jak by ktoś dobudował z pasji . Jest kilka pomieszczeń z rybkami i akcesoriami . Są koralowce, ryby ,słodkie ,słone są rybki ogrodowe masa różnych gadżetów . Co najważniejsze ludzie którzy tam pracują mają pojęcie o rybkach .. Polecam chociaż raz odwiedzić sklep . 5 ⭐

Unprepossessing on the outside, absolutely wonderful on the inside. We’ve visited several local fish shops and now drive 35 minutes to get to Wharf as they are the best. They are super well-informed, kind and generous with beginners, pragmatic but honest when helping with fish choice and always available if you have a question. They stock a phenomenal range of species, all of which are in sparkling clean tanks. They also clearly keep up with trends in the hobby and have lots of plant and live food options as well as an excellent supply of nano fish and shrimp. It is so lovely to see an independent, specialist shop thriving because it just does things better and it’s a wonderful example of its kind. I hope they stay open forever! Thank you for all of your help and for indulging my obsessive water testing and over-thinking.

Brilliant service, got some fish I wanted and asked if they had something else. They said drop them an email and they'd put it on the list. Next week I'm contacting Alan and fetching exactly what I wanted, in amazing colours to.

One of so many reasons why I use wharf.
Not only are the staff extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly but they make sure feel so valued as a customer.
I order my filter media every week from here and getting a little thank you in the parcel really just make you feel so appreciated as a customer.
We got our stingray ‘Dave’ from here and the information we were given on care for him and also the background of the species was second to none, from food to behaviour, right down to how to decorate the tank so it still looked amazing but would be stingray friendly. The knowledge and true passion the staff have for all things aquatic is amazing
